As we prepare to launch into the 2025 season, we are excited to announce our new Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Head Coach as Tony Barnes. Barnes comes to the club with 31 seasons of coaching under his belt having worked with the Sydney Roosters from 2010 - 2023 including holding roles as Head Coach of their NSW Cup team and many successful years as Head Coach of Jersey Flegg. More recently, Barnes was Assistant Coach of the 2024 premiership winning Newtown Jets team and comes highly recommended. Welcome to the Bears Tony!

Ending the 2024 season with a bang, we held a fabu

Ending the 2024 season with a bang, we held a fabulous lunch at Norths Cammeray on Friday 4th October supporting the North Sydney Bears Red & Black Foundation. Guest speaker NSW Blues Super Coach and new Brisbane Broncos Coach, Michael Maguire, regaled the audience about what it takes to win an Origin Series and his struggles and triumphs to reach that moment. Our Bears panel was studded with Old Bears including Mark Graham, Billy Moore, Mark Soden and Kieran Dempsey who all had guests in stitches over old stories.

Norths put on a delicious two course meal with guests enjoying prawns and slow roasted beef cheeks, washed down with delicious wines from Clarity Cru and Bear Park Brews from Six String Brewing Co.

The event raised over $27,000 for the foundation with these funds aimed at further developing our pathway programs and high-performance facilities.

Thank you to everyone who supported this important club fundraiser.

North Sydney Bears are pleased to announce our official Community Partnership with @maryshouseservices for 2025 and beyond. This exciting partnership will see the Bears and Mary's House Services come together to support women and children escaping domestic violence, raising awareness and contributing to positive change in the local community.

As part of the partnership’s launch, the North Sydney Bears will be part of the Mary’s House Walk on Sunday, 27th October 2024. The event will take place in North Sydney and is designed to bring the community together to raise funds and awareness for domestic violence services. All proceeds from the walk will directly benefit Mary’s House Services, aiding their mission to provide life-changing support to those in need.
