Vale – Don Evenden
The North Sydney Bears are sad to announce the passing of former first grade front rower Don Evenden.
Don had a career stretching from 1952-1960 playing 123 first grade games for the Bears and 10 first grade games for Balmain.
Don scored 22 tries for the Bears and was selected to represent New South Wales twice. He was also a front row reserve for the Australian team in the third test against Great Britain in 1954.
The North Sydney Bears community would like to pass their condolences onto Don’s family.
